Our Story Begins…
Our journey began over 30 years ago when Matt & Michelle Schultz found themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy. With fear & anxiety, Michelle believed she could not have both her education & her baby. So, she made the decision to terminate her pregnancy.
Twelve years later after much healing, Matt & Michelle began sharing their story. The realization of an underserved population in need of support sparked the idea for the nonprofit organization Baby Steps the two later co-founded. But, our story doesn't end there.
In 2013, as doubt lingered over the necessity of Baby Steps, Kaitlyn Willing entered the scene. She shared with Michelle how as a junior at Auburn University, she found herself facing an unplanned pregnancy. While Kaitlyn decided to parent her child & finish her degree, the lack of support made graduating almost impossible.
Kaitlyn not only affirmed the concept of Baby Steps as an organization but also provided unique insight to what life was like as a Student-Mom on a college campus.
Conceived initially as a resource for Baby Steps, the vision was clear – to provide a lifeline of encouragement for women in the midst of their unplanned pregnancy journeys. Unplanned & Untold wasn't just crafted; it emerged from a sincere desire to be a source of inspiration for women across the nation who are navigating an unplanned pregnancy. Because sometimes all it takes is knowing you are not alone in what you are facing.
This podcast isn't just about narratives; it's a testament to courage, personal growth, & the extraordinary journeys that shape us.
While Unplanned & Untold has its roots intertwined with Baby Steps, it is not the entire narrative. Baby Steps is a crucial chapter, a part of a broader story that is dedicated to offering housing, support, & community to college students facing an unplanned pregnancy. Unplanned & Untold is an extension of that support - a virtual companion for those currently facing an unplanned pregnancy & without access to the crucial support Baby Steps provides.
